The Cook County ATV Club held its last official ride of the season on the very rainy Saturday, September 28, 2013. The rain did not deter the 50-plus riders, ranging in age from 3 to 80 years old, from enjoying the amazing fall colors on the North Shore.

Riders came from all over Cook County, from Two Harbors, and from Silver Bay, and there was even a young couple from Fargo, North Dakota on the fourth Fall Color Ride. Riders met at Trestle Inn on County Road 7 in Lake County and took off from there under cloudy skies. It wasn’t long before the rain was falling but riders were all smiles as they explored and eventually returned to the Trestle Inn.

As riders dried off, warmed up and enjoyed dinner at the Trestle Inn, there was talk of what route the Fall Color Ride would take next year.
