All are welcome to come to First Congregational Church/United Church of Christ of Grand Marais for a sending-off party—A Night of Poetry and Song—for the church’s stalwart office manager, Kristine Bottorff on Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m. as Kristine leaves Grand Marais to begin seminary in Elkhart, Indiana.

As many people in the county know, Bottorff has been much more than a church secretary. She is active and interested in all things musical and botanical. She is, as the mom of twin boys who now tower over her, a presence in both religious education and Great Expectations School.

Judy Siegle, one of her many church friends said, “We will miss her greatly, but are happy for her decision to enter the ministry of the Mennonite Church.”

Refreshments will be served and an ability to make a donation to help Kristine achieve her new vocation will also be available.
