The Grand Marais Lions Club welcomes you back for the 93rd annual Fisherman’s Picnic.

Back this year is the much beloved Bingo Tent! Thanks to a new partnership between the Sons of the American Legion, Buck’s Hardware, Gunflint Tavern, and the Lions, come enjoy the fun of waiting for your lucky numbers with a cold one!

The ‘picnic begins with WISE Women’s initiatives buffet to go on Wednesday, August 3rd and concludes with the Lion club’s drawing on Sunday, August 7th at 5 p.m. in the Harbor Park of $10,000 along with many other prizes donated from our great local businesses. Come and support the Lions Club, buy tickets, enjoy a fishburger, and enjoy some great local musicians in the Harbor Park!

Don’t miss the deals at the Thursday sidewalk sales. Also, don’t forget to take in the family fun activities, kiddie rides, rock skipping contest, loon calling contest, minnow races and the crowd favorite fish toss.

And please stop in to purchase an activity button at the Lion’s information booth. Enjoy Saturday night fireworks over the harbor and the parade on Sunday.

Last, please come and enjoy the picnic. Visit friends and family and support your hard-working Lions and other volunteers. And don’t forget to buy a ticket (or two, or three.). This could be your lucky year to win $10,000 or one of the other great prizes donated by area merchants!

Thank you and have a great weekend.

Tyson Smith, Grand Marais Lion’s Club president
