fun!
There is no shortage of fun activities in Cook County for the
4th of July. From one end of the county to the other, there
is something for everyone.
Grand Marais
In Grand Marais there will be a traditional parade and
fireworks at dusk. Line up and register for the parade
at the Grand Marais Senior Center at 5:30 p.m. The
parade starts at 6:00 p.m.
If you’re looking for something to do in Grand Marais
before fireworks, consider stopping by the First
Congregational Church on 2nd and 3rd Streets from
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for an ice cream social. The ice cream
social is sponsored by the Congregational and St. John’s
Catholic churches. Free-will donations accepted.
The holiday weekend is also the last chance to see
the Grand Marais Playhouse production of Treasure
Island.
The final performances are Friday, July 2 and
Saturday, July 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 4 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets are $12 adults and $7 for students 18 and under.
A fantastic, swashbuckling way to spend some of your
4th of July weekend.
