Join us for the 42nd Annual Tofte Trek 10K Run/Walk, held on July 4, 2023 at Birch Grove Community Center in Tofte, Minnesota. Detailed time schedule is below.
Tofte resident and avid outdoorsman Jan Horak started the Trek in 1980 as a way to bring the community together for the Tofte 4th of July celebration. Today, the Suagrbush Trail Association organizes the event to raise money for local Nordic ski trails.
The 10K Tofte Trek starts at Birch Grove Community Center in Tofte and winds its way up the hill towards the Superior Hiking Trail. It then returns through lots of mud on the snowmobile trail. Runners are proud to wear their muddy badge of courage as they finish. Must be at least 11 years old to run the Tofte Trek. Overall and age-group awards. Dogs are NOT allowed on the race course or in the Birch Grove Community Center.
9:00 a.m. 10k Wilderness Walk ($35 pre-registration, $40 same day). 9:05 a.m. kids (4-12) sprint race (Free). 9:20 a.m. one-mile race (Free). 9:30 a.m. 10k Wilderness Run ($35 pre-registration, $40 same day).
*Tofte Trek T-shirts provided to the first 200 registrants for the 10k walk/run.
The Tofte Trek is a fundraiser for the 501 C-3 non-profit Sugarbush Trail Association in Tofte.
