The 3rd Annual Radio Waves Music Festival will be held Friday, Sept. 10 and Saturday, Sept. 11. This year, WTIP North Shore Community Radio is partnering with the North Shore Music Association to offer two days of music, fun and community.
The Radio Waves Music Festival will kick off at 5 p.m. Friday with local bands opening and singer/ songwriter Michael Johnson headlining at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the festival will continue at 11 a.m. and run all day, featuring Minneapolis folk/rockers Ol’ Yeller,
and a full slate of favorite local bands. It will be a non-stop line-up of musicians and bands on two stages, plus onsite food vendors, a dance floor, a children’s tent and a great time for all at Sweetheart’s Bluff, adjacent to the Grand Marais Recreation Park and Campground. It’s the perfect setting for sharing the weekend with friends and family, while enjoying a wide variety of music.
WTIP and the North Shore Music Association are planning the Radio Waves Music Festival as a service to the community, and are looking forward to welcoming people together for two days of fun and music in Grand Marais.
