Anyone who has attended the local Summer Solstice Pageant would agree that the puppetry and pageantry are first rate. But who makes those puppets?

People just like you, that’s who!

If you would like to participate in creating life-sized puppets please come to the Grand Marais Community Center Wednesday, May 31 Through Wednesday, June 14. The hours are 10 a.m.- noon and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Children 10 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshops are supervised and guided by experienced makers and artists. If you have participated in the past, show up! If you want to experience this for the first time, show up!

This is a creative incubator of mentorship, artistry, and fun. Drop in for two hours or come every day.

All ages and abilities are welcome.

Your work will culminate in the wonderous Summer Solstice Pageant that will take place at North House Folk School on June 17th at 8 p.m.
