In spite of the COVID- 19 predicament, the annual West End Garden Club Flower Show will take place. However, it will be virtual.
This year’s theme is “Books and Blooms.” Judi Barsness and Flavia Andrea Alvarez Maldonado are the 2020 Flower Show Co-Chairs with Rae Piepho and Barb Gabler, the 2021 Co-Chairs. They would like all club members and encourage those in the community to take pictures of your arrangements, whether they are floral arrangements, vegetable/ herb arrangements, flower box arrangements, or wildflower arrangements, all are welcome.
In addition to arrangements, an audio recording of a poem with your arrangement is also welcome. Please target your
recording to be one minute in length or two minutes if necessary. Send all submissions no later than July 10, 2020, to chezjude@boreal.org
Please include the following information with your pictures or videos, your name, the name of your arrangement and a description of the flowers in your arrangement. Judy Barsness, one of this year’s co-chairs, will collate your picture with the information that you provide to make a video to play on the West End Garden Club Facebook page. You do not need to have an account with Facebook to access the West End Garden Club page, look up the URL, click on it, and an option should appear to view the Club’s page as a non-account holder.
The West End Garden Club hopes that there will be many participants from our community and many that view the beauty and talent on the North Shore!
