2015 Kelley High School awards announced

The William Kelley High School Alumni Scholarship Committee has announced the 2015 recipients of the WKHS Alumni Scholarship.

Tayler Haselow will be studying veterinary technology at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She dreams of developing her own animal care business. Jeremiah David Fragale will be studying mechanics and psychology at Lake Superior College in Duluth. He is a graduate of the Minnesota National Guard Basic and Individual Training, and is the first person in his family to graduate from high school.

The WKHS Alumni Scholarship Fund annually awards a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to continue his education beyond high school in the fall following graduation; demonstrates a high level of volunteerism and service within his community; shows commitment to participation in activities and organizations; and has a desired goal of lifelong learning.

The scholarship committee broke with tradition this year and awarded two $1,000 scholarships. Scholarships are made possible by individual donations. Anyone wishing to support the Scholarship Fund may make a tax-deductible donation to: WK Alumni Scholarship Support Fund, William Kelley High School, 137 Banks Boulevard, Silver Bay, MN 55614.
