1st & 2nd Thrift Store is open for business!

 

It took longer than expected but the good news is that the 1st & 2nd Thrift Store is open at its’ new location at 11 1st Ave West (the newly rehabbed Birchbark and Gifts building). The store had a “soft” opening on Saturday, July 22 and despite no advertising, business was brisk, said Anne Mershon.

Since its inception in 2007, more than $945,000 has been raised through sales of donated merchandise and clothes with the money returned to the community.

Volunteers run the operation with volunteers directing their “earnings” to a church, club, charity, school or some other nonprofit.

The store looks great and is filled with a wide variety of quality donated items and prices have been kept low. Stop and see for yourself!
