SOVIETS VISIT COOK COUNTY Two groups of Soviets visited Cook County last week. Russian bicyclists and musicians (pictured above) toured the North Shore Drive and Gunflint Trail. They hailed from Duluth’s sister city, Petrozavodsk. Lithuanian veterans of the Afghanistan conflict also attended an honor ceremony at the Rendezvous Days Pow Wow.

The Otto Bremer Trust recently announced grant winners and two non-profits were from Cook County.
