Tourism continues to be the engine that drives Cook County’s economy. The Cook County year-to-date lodging taxes are up a whopping 30.6 percent compared to the first ten months of 2020. Through October 31, 2021, the county has collected $1,617,420.97. Collections for the full twelve months last year were $1,268,436.04.
