Two Harbors Highway 61 construction work started

Construction has begun on Highway 61 between Knife River and Two Harbors. This project will resurface 7.3 miles of pavement and provide drainage improvements. A charming—not the least bit alarming—black bear came to visit a gentleman at his home. “I had a friendly bear show up just to say hello,” said the gentleman, who asked that his name not be used. After a short visit the bear returned to the woods. “I hope the bear returns,” said the gentleman.
