In the January 11, 2014 article County board holds 2014 organizational meeting, it was erroneously reported that Commissioner Sue Hakes didn’t receive enough votes to become county board chair for 2014. Commissioner Hakes received a nomination from Commissioner Heidi Doo-Kirk, but there was no second to the motion, so no vote was taken. The News-Herald regrets the error.
