James Wesley Bacon of Grand Marais completed the requirements for graduation from Mesabi Range Community & Technical College in December 2011. He earned certification as a chemical dependency specialist at the Virginia campus.
Andrew Butter named to Northland dean’s list
Andrew Butter of Grand Marais has been named to the 2012 winter semester dean’s list at Northland College in Ashland, Wis. Andrew, a 2010 graduate of Cook County High School, is the son of Charlie and Sue Butter of Grand Marais. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to achieve recognition on the dean’s list.
