Vikings win first baseball game
The Cook County boys’ baseball team traveled to Barnum on May 3 and came away with their first victory of the year. Strong pitching and timely hitting led the team to a 17-7 victory over the Barnum Bombers. The team’s record is now 1-5. A full report of this game will be in next week’s paper.
School to “try out” salad bar
The Minnesota Statewide Health Improvement Program, or SHIP, is bringing some interesting ideas to Cook County Schools. One is the introduction of a salad bar in the school cafeteria.
